A 48-hour dispersal order has been authorised in Newport under Section 34 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
The authority covers the period from 20:20 on Wednesday 12th July until 20:20 on Friday 14th July and has been put in place to tackle issues of Anti-social behaviour (ASB) which is causing members of the public harassment, alarm and distress.
Dispersal orders enable police to deal with any issues of ASB in a directed area more effectively and give officers the power to order a person to leave the area with no return within the specified time period. Those who refuse to comply with the order are committing a criminal offence and are liable for arrest.
The Newport Neighbourhoods Policing Team have been working hard to address ASB and the associated criminality in the town such as shoplifting and disorder, and dispersal orders such as these are just one of the tactics available to us to tackle these issues.
This particular Dispersal Order covers the area shown on the map taken from Google, and includes Medina Avenue, St Johns Place, Trafalgar Road, Carisbrooke Road, Mill Street, Foxes Road, Hunnycross Way, Medina Way, Fairlee Road, Staplers Road, School Lane, Royal Exchange, Furrlongs and St Georges Way.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“ASB and the associated criminality makes life miserable for local people and businesses. We will continue to make enquiries and take action in relation to shopliftings and public order incidents in the town, and encourage anyone affected by ASB or retail crime to please keep reporting incidents to us so we can use the most effective tactics available to us to tackle it.”

Cut their child tax credits, child allowance, universal credit, and disability money, free rent, free council tax, THEN and ONLY then would such womb owners and sperm donners take notice, for parents they are NOT.

So end all their payments and let them beg to exist.

Covid ment housing them there..why would they leave..free rent drunk all day looking out to sea in the sun. Adult care major part of council tax that we pay..they don’t and the woke society for some reason gets most voice to say we should feel sorry for them as we work are butts of to support them.

A long term solution needs to be found to stop this behaviour. Firstly, the parents of these children need need to step up and take responsibility for what their brats are getting up to. There maybe not a lot of things to do for youngsters these days, but causing trouble, stealing, shouting abuse at people, wreaking havoc in the shops is totally unacceptable.
If these kids think it’s ok to behave like this, they obviously have been failed buy their parents. Fine the parents. That will make them take this situation seriously!
Plenty for kids to do just as there always has been. They live on a tourist island with so much to do the lucky sods but all they can do is hang around making a nuisance of themselves. The cheeky little sods need a punch in the mouth for any lip and so do their useless parents.
The drunks shouting & swearing at full volume at each other, despite sitting right next to each other, outside the temp library entrance in Church Litton can be heard everywhere, and were sitting there for hours. Saw 2 police but they were still there, yelling at each other.
