The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth has been involved in the search for a man wanted on recall to prison this afternoon (Monday).
At around midday officers on foot began the pursuit of the wanted male after he was spotted in the seaside town of Shanklin.
Air support was called in to conduct an aerial search around the Lake Cliff Gardens area, however Police have been unable to locate the unnamed man.
It is understood the man is wanted for breaching his licence conditions.
