Investigations are underway to locate a motorcycle that has been stolen from the quiet East Wight village of Nettlestone today (Sunday).
The grey Honda MSX 125cc bike has gone missing from Nettlestone Green and is believed to have been stolen sometime after midnight.
Islanders are being asked to keep a sharp eye out for the motorcycle – the latest to be stolen in recent weeks and months.
The vehicle’s registration is HW68 EXA.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101.
Never understand why if you have a decent bike you don’t have a tracker fitted.
I agree with Rob. However it is sad that a minority of people think theft is ok.
They are the lowest of the low and I hope that they are jailed if they are caught.
The courts need to get tough and the sooner the better. It will soon be too late to turn the tide.
It is not acceptable to go around stealing other peoples property. Let’s hope they are caught and the bike recovered intact.
Tracker is useless if vehicle put in a van !! If one fitted, then they then find it.
I feel sorry for the owners loss, hopefully it is insured with that modified exhaust.. anything else modified that insurance not know about ?
There always an arse hole & you take 1st prize
Too many road users modify their ride without telling insurance company… many are not insured due to this.. but hey what do I know eh ? Am just an arse hole !! ? Wait til one hits you !
No your not. Also, the front L plate, not visible, also braking the road traffic rules. If the owner wants respect then play by the rules.
Are you assuming every bike needs an L plate? If the victim of this crime holds a full licence, he/she can ride anything , even a 125 if they choose.
In this case it be seen on the front mudguard.
Judging by some of the miserable comments on here, some people sound almost pleased.
Their attitude is very disappointing, and no wonder I have little time for most of the human race.
Exhaust is illegal. Too many of these type bikes with illegal exhausts. It’s a nuisance. Also, invalidates their insurance, so if they hit you, good luck with getting paid.
The exhaust CAN be replaced, providing it is operating with baffle in it is NOT illegal, can you tell us otherwise? Also L plate is on the front mudguard, I can see it, so it is visible.
Well done for all your assumptions and stereotyping, can I assume that you’re (check spelling) a grumpy old git?
i know the owner and have seen the bike many times nothing on it is illegal and he has spent alot of money making sure it isn’t and some twats have stolen it if this was any of you guys bike that got stolen you wouldn’t be very happy with people saying it’s illegal while your trying to find where it is
Motorcycle crime on the island is rare, try living in Southampton
that bike is not worth a lot second hand and being it was stolen from the middle of nowhere i’m guessing it was taken for parts by someone that knew where to find it
and just out of interest why are all the ad’s below in french?
