“Could the Island Echo kindly do an article on the correct and proper way up that folk should fly their Union (Jack) flag in time for the memorial service on Poppy Day? “We are saddened by the apparent ignorance of this matter. The younger generations seem to have not been educated on this, and if asked, say they didn’t know there is a right way and a wrong way to fly the flag. “Can you imagine any other kingdom or country flying their flags upside-down? Yet it is commonplace on this Island”.
