The team at Inglefield Nursing and Residential Care Home in Totland Bay are celebrating a proud moment, having been awarded Platinum status by the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) – the highest level of national accreditation for end-of-life care.
This prestigious award recognises the team’s consistently high standards, compassionate approach, and thoughtful support for residents and families.
Furthermore, Inglefield has been nominated for GSF Care Home of the Year, placing it among the very best in the UK.
Home Manager Charlotte Willis has said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to share that Inglefield has been awarded Platinum status. This is a huge achievement and a reflection of the care, kindness and commitment I see in our team every day. We’re also incredibly proud to have been nominated for Care Home of the Year – I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated after the awards in September.”
Inspectors highlighted the team’s personal touches, including a bespoke cushion made from a resident’s clothing and given to his wife – something they described as ‘much appreciated by the family’.
Director Liana Birkett has added:
“Charlotte and the team work with so much heart. They truly care about the people they support and they’ve earned every bit of this recognition.”
The official awards ceremony will take place this September in Birmingham, where the national Care Home of the Year will be announced.

Well done to this great team.
