Planning permission is being sought to turn the former Toogood Plastics warehouse in Rookley into a 24-hour self storage facility.
Worchester-based Driver Property has applied to the Isle of Wight Council to vary of condition 4 of a previous application to allow change of hours for class B8 (storage and distribution) to 24 hours and 7 days a week.
Permission was granted in 2022, allowing for light industrial work to take place within the unit, and it is that permission for which a variation is being sought.
Under the new plans, there is hope that the Pritchetts Way facility will house over 180 individual storage units that are intended to be open to be public around the clock.
A decision is set to be made by 15th October.

So many people waste loads of money storing items they
will never use, cheaper to get rid of unwanted items in
the long run, than pay to store them!
