Wootton’s Day Lewis Pharmacy is seeking permission to install a 24/7 prescription collection machine outside of its High Street store.
The independent pharmacy chain first launched the plans at the end of September. Collection machines are commonplace at other branches across the country.
Day Lewis is set to replace one of the existing front windows at the premises, with the locker – which will be accessible from the outside – via the existing walkway.
Free to use and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the collection machine would allow people to access their prescriptions out-of-hours. However, not all medicinal items will be available to pick up.
Anyone wishing to comment on the application should do so by 1st November 2024 quoting 24/01435/FUL.
