Paramedics and Coastguards have aided a casualty who fell into the sea at East Cowes Esplanade.
Emergency teams were called out at around 11:15 this morning (Tuesday) to reports that an individual had fallen into the water.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team and Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to the incident, alongside the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The individual is understood to have been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
HM Coastguard had stood down by 12:15.
