UPDATED: Firefighters have removed a car door to free the driver of a Suzuki following a multi-vehicle collision at Wootton Common this morning (Wednesday).
Police, Fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene at the roundabout where Briddlesford Road meets Station Road at just gone 07:30.
At least 2 vehicles have been involved in the crash, possibly a third.
1 person is being conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital, although their injuries are not thought to be serious.
Police are directing traffic in the area as recovery of the vehicles takes place. Station Road is closed heading towards Wootton.
Southern Vectis buses are diverting via Fairlee Road until further notice.
UPDATE @ 08:50 – The incident has now been cleared, with the vehicles having been recovered by Bartletts Service Station.
It has been confirmed that 1 male has been taken to hospital.
