Those looking to top up with petrol and diesel in Ryde can expect disruption throughout this week as Tesco partially closes its filling station. From today (Monday), half of the forecourt will be closed off to allow for essential works to the canopy. This will continue until Saturday (27th January). The news means that the hundreds of motorists heading to the petrol filling station each day will face lengthy queues as 12 pumps are reduced to 6. There will be a complete closure of the station off Brading Road for a period of 8-12 hours, but no exact date or time has been set. 24 hours notice will be given once the period of closure has been confirmed. 2024 has got off to a positive start with clear investment being made by Tesco Plc. A totem sign, which displays the fuel prices to passing motorists, has finally been fixed after being blank for several months. Tesco apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
