Pan Together, the charity which exists to support and provide a community hub for the residents of East Newport, is launching its new Warm Space on Thursday 12th January 2023.
Going forward, this will be open from 09:00 to 15:00 each Thursday and Friday in the IT Room at Downside Community Centre, Furrlongs, Newport, PO30 2AX.
Rachel Thomson, Community Centre Manager, said:
“As the cost of living crisis bites harder for so many, our Warm Space is based on a simple idea: turn off your heating and come and use ours instead.
“Everyone’s invited – young and old. There’ll be a warm welcome, friendly chat, refreshments and plenty of things to do – as well as the chance to socialise and meet new people. For further details, give us a ring on 01983 248 170”.

Seems we’re back in the 70’s. Tories say they have work to do to fix, but it was them who broke it all. They have already forgotten that they inflected Liz Truss on us.
BRING BACK THE VICTORIAN WORK HOUSES, that will keep them warm, lazy peasants who can’t spell. From a Tory voter.
At least the punctuation makes sense.
