Yarmouth RNLI lifeboat went to the assistance of a vessel with an overheated engine at lunchtime today (Monday).
Solent Coastguard requested the launch of the Severn-class All Weather Lifeboat after reports were received from a pleasure craft situated to the north of Yarmouth Harbour of a possible fire on board.
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked at 12:34 to assist Yarmouth Lifeboat, whose volunteer crew were bringing the vessel into the harbour on a hip tow.
The 2 persons onboard the casualty vessel escaped any injury and were spoken to by Coastguard Rescue Officers once quay side.
Thankfully, no fire was identified.
