A large crowd gathered on North Walk in Ryde on Boxing Day to take part in a chilly dip in the sea.
Those brave enough to test the water did so in swimsuits, wetsuits, and fancy dress with one person going in dressed head-to-toe as Santa – beard and all.
A collection for local charity Ryde Beach Lifeguards was conducted on the day.
A total of £238.67 was raised for Ryde Beach Lifeguards – who kept a lookout from their station just metres away.
The swim in Ryde was one of numerous that took place across the Island on Monday with other swims taking place in Gurnard, Sandown and Ventnor.
