A fire on the outskirts of Newport has led to the response of several emergency vehicles this evening (Monday)
Island Echo understands that 2 fire appliances responded to reports of a fire at an address just off of Long Lane at around 18:20.
Several Firefighters clad in breathing apparatus are utilising hose reel jets, pulling from a nearby hydrant in an attempt to put out the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
