A power outage in the West Wight has left nearly 1,400 customers without electricity this morning (Thursday).
Locals living in Totland and Colwell have been without power since around 10:00. As many as 106 postcodes in the area have been left without supply. In total Scottish Southern Electricity Network (SSEN) estimates that around 1,390 customers – both domestic and business – are affected.
It is hoped that the issue will be resolved by 13:00 this afternoon Island Echo understands, with SSEN engineers already on their way to the outage site.
