Organisers of the now-cancelled EXPERIENCE 1970 event, which was due to take place in September to commemorate 50 years since the ‘Last Great’ music festival, have decided they will refund ticket holders after all.
It was announced last week that the event had been scrapped for good after being postponed for 2 years due to the COVID pandemic. At the same time, it was announced that anyone who had purchased a ticket would not be receiving a refund.
Now, organiser Chris Hewitt has said he is determined that ticket holders must not be left out of pocket.
In a statement issued this week, Mr Hewitt has said:
“Having personally lost months and months of my time and lots of my personal money on the whole project to stage EXPERIENCE 1970 over three days at Tapnell Farm, it has turned into a debacle, but not of our making.
“Despite initially saying on our website tickets were non-refundable, I must do the decent thing and make sure ticket holders are refunded”.
All ticket holders who purchased from the Party Ace main agency for the event (that’s the majority), contact them for refunds by emailing [email protected]. These refunds will be facilitated on behalf of Experience 1970/Recordcore DVR.
Other ticket holders should write for refunds to Experience 1970/Recordcore DVR, PO Box 116, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 5UG, enclosing proof of payment and refunds will be processed.
