Orchard House Care Home made a dream come true for resident Rita by taking her to see St Catherine’s lighthouse.
Rita has always cherished the image of a lighthouse, bringing with her a large photograph of one when she moved in. Despite no longer being able to hike or travel easily, her love for lighthouses has never dimmed.
The activities team at Orchard House Care Home organized a trip to St. Catherine’s Lighthouse.
Katie Schlepp , Head of Lifestyle, said:
“Seeing the happiness on our residents’ faces, particularly Rita’s, was deeply moving. This trip was more than just an outing; it was the realization of a dream, and we are thrilled to have made that happen.”
