OPEN CONCLUSION GIVEN AT INQUEST INTO DEATH OF TOTLAND MAN

James Nicholson-Noctor, who died on 13th August 2017

An open conclusion has been given into the death of 22-year-old James Bernard Arthur Nicholson-Noctor, who took his own life by hanging himself at his home in Totland.

Police and paramedics responded to Weston Manor on Moons Hill, Totland at around 18:10 on 13th August 2017 following the discovery of Mr Nicholson-Noctor’s body in the porch of The Lodge.

The former Medina High School pupil, who was working as a barman at The High Down Inn, is said to have been depressive.

Caroline Sumeray, coroner for the Isle of Wight recorded an open conclusion at Tuesday’s inquest stating that there was no evidence of James’ desire to end his life.
