WightSAR – the Isle of Wight’s volunteer lowland search and rescue organisation – has received yet another £1,000 donation from Leslies Motors. The forecourt manager at Northwood Garage, Ben Maher, secured the donation by participating in Gulf Retail UK’s award-winning forecourt loyalty platform. By getting locals to sign up to the scheme, Leslies Motors has been able to make its 3rd donation to WightSAR – taking the total amount donated in just over a year to £3,000. Dean Terrett, Chairman and Founder of WightSAR, has said:
“We are thrilled to have been selected again to be a recipient of this donation from the ‘Oomph’ loyalty program and would like to thank Leslies Motors and all its customers for supporting us. “The donation will be used to part fund a Mule Wheel Stretcher – the ruggedised stretcher will assist us when moving casualties through challenging terrain and will ensure the best possible comfort for the casualty”.
Ben Maher, forecourt manager, says:
“Anyone wanting to get involved in the forecourt rewards programme can speak to a member of staff in the forecourt shop. The more people that join, the more money we can collectively win for amazing charities like this one”.
