UPDATED: Police have closed part of The Downs towards Ryde this evening (Saturday) following a minor collision.
A Ford Focus has sustained front-end damage in the incident, which has resulted in traffic being diverted via Brading Downs Road. Motorists are currently unable to travel towards Ryde on Ashey Road.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the crash. Paramedics are on scene, however.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the sea mark at 19:30.
UPDATE @ 23:00 – The road has since been reopened following the recovery of the vehicle.
