Emergency services were called to the scene near to Pan Estate at 11:53 following reports of an RTC down the narrow country lane. Initial reports from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service suggested that the collision involved one vehicle, however the 206 had collided head-on around a tight corner with a Vauxhall Astra.
Firefighters cut free the trapped woman from the 206 after she complained of back pain, which could potentially be a spinal injury. She was taken to St Mary’s Hospital by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Stag Lane Motors were called in to recover the vehicle and clear the scene. The road reopened at 13:30 this afternoon.
