How an earth does this happen !
It dont seem to be getting any better the island drivers
Nor their grammar
Looks like a McDonald’s all over the floor
Almost unbelieveable …
Looks like she had a Pepsi Max in both hands. Can be the only reason for turning a car over there!
That’s brilliant, zooming in you can see the McDonald’s scattered on the road. Hope the post lockdown ‘meal’ was worth it!
*he
Yet another single vehicle accident, becoming far too common
How the hell do you roll a car there? Yes it’s a little bit narrow but it’s also a junction so you shouldn’t be going fast. Ridiculous!
You would be very surprised how easy it is to roll a car if you clip something that will not move out of the way, like a wall, tree or raised bank. You look at youTube, You can do it at 10 mph no a problem. One lapse of judgement (phone / food / looking at some flowers) and boom you’re over. And that is the point, a normally ‘good’ driver with a clean licence can end up like this with one simple mistake. Rural roads of the island are inherently dangerous.
Usual failed excuse, the road is dangerous. Well what do you want to do, close all the roads??? Or tell the idiot drivers to take MORE care.
Absolutely correct. I have seen a Ford Fiesta instantly turn upside down after clipping a tree at well under the 30 mph limit whilst avoiding the range rover coming in the other direction. i also witnessed a mini turn on its side in traffic when a track ro snapped under brakiing. You are never completely safe in a moving vehicle.
Yeah if you’re an idiot
It beggers belief of the standard of driving over here, the amount of vehicles that just seem to come to rest on their roof for no apparent reason, was there an issue with the vehicle or was is it the nut behind the wheel.
Road are not dangerous it’s the driver
You say one lapse of judgement, you then name a few, this all equals up to Careless driving and your clean licence you speak of ends with a minimum of 6 points on, answer CONCENTRATE MORE.
it could well of been another driver forcing the driver of this car into the bank coursing the overturn, could be a number of other things that coursed this incident to happen, lets not all speculate and comment on the standards of driving until the truth is known, but however wish the driver a speedy recovery and hope all concerned are ok
Read the story, it states no other vehicle was involved. 9/10 there is no need to speculate when this sort of thing happens as it would probably be driver error or careless driving, i would say the latter
fred black, WHAT is the point of ‘having’ a comment section IF ‘ALL’ we can do is write facts, not opinions?
Read the ‘text’ for facts, the comments for opinions.
Simple, sure you will soon get the jist of it.
No actual witnesses = no “facts”. Therefore it’s opinions only. BTW:- it’s “gist”.
Caused
Here we go again , the trouble is driving instructors now teach you to pass your test, not how to drive safely in all situations ,it took me nearly a year to learn how to drive properly
Nice to see people jumping to conclusions as to details surrounding this accident. My friend is fine by the way, after having a medical episode behind the wheel of his car! Keep your opinions to yourselves unless you know what’s really happened. Bunch of ignorant gossips
Medical episode could range from a serious heart attack to a false eyelash poking you in the eye. Can you enlighten the interested on here, as it is OUR safety we are concerned about as much as your bestiee.
Should she be driving if this medical event is likely to reoccur without warning?
Again, HE.
Learn to read!
Also, the guy has had an accident and a medical episode, the medical episode is none of your business Martin.
I’m just glad your friend didn’t hurt anyone else ! And Carol there is Absolutely no need to be rude..
Don’t see how pointing out that commenting before you know the facts is ignorant could be construed as being rude. But then again that’s ignorance for you as I could have been a lot ruder.
I see we are all armchair experts and eye witnesses.
Judging by the island’s women drivers she was almost certainly putting on her make up,
on her mobile and eating a Mcdonalds at the same time whilst steering with her knees.
Please read other people’s commenst first then you might notice that the driver had a medical episode at the wheel, which was mentioned 35 minutes before your thoughtless post.
Ron do you like watching the Sweeney by any chance? cos you sound like a sexist git. I do not wear make up, hate Mcdonalds and only steer with my hands…. which may come as a surprise as I am a woman.
Would you please read the article again – it said “trapped male”! And, ron, however old you are, you probably have neither wife nor girl-friend, or else you wouldn`t get away with the “nice” things you wrote about women drivers!
I read it was a male!!!
A clean licence has very little to do with being a ‘good’ driver…
Depends how long it’s been clean..
He should not have been driving at all, for reasons which will come to light when he has been prosecuted !
It is a very tight corner…hope everyone ok
Any update on the driver
See Folks, most jumping the gun, saying driver error, careless driving etc etc, when the driver had actually had a medical episode at the wheel, which can happen to anyone one of us, and I pray it does`nt as I said in my previous comment which 10 of you did not like could have been a number of reasons and its wrong to judge someone until all facts are known …@ Carol..hope you friend is OK.
