Milkshakes are currently unavailable at McDonald’s stores due to nationwide issues with the fast-food giant’s supply chain.
The issues mean that the chain is struggling to source a number of menu items with 1,250 stores in England, Scotland, and Wales unable to stock bottled drinks. Low stock distribution across McDonald’s restaurants is being blamed on ongoing issues caused by the shortage of Heavy Goods Vehicle drivers.
According to The Independent, every single McDonald’s store has now run out of milkshakes – one of the most popular menu items.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said:
“Like most retailers, we are currently experiencing some supply chain issues, impacting the availability of a small number of products.
“Bottled drinks and milkshakes are temporarily unavailable in restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales.
“We apologise for any inconvenience, and thank our customers for their continued patience. We are working hard to return these items to the menu as soon as possible.”
It’s thought that the stores in Newport and Ryde will be affected by the issues.

Less litter to be lobbed out of car windows.
There is always a positive.
Oh well that’s it then, the end of the world is nigh. Go to a supermarket and get a bigger, tastier milkshake that the insipid drink they call “milkshake”
its to do with extortionate service charges from the manufacturer, they keep getting glitches, error code etcduring cleaning cycle, manufacturer has monopoply and this glitch problem grift widely reported on youtube, its daylight robbery the fees charged and the individual mcdonalds outlets have to pay, software updates then have made it worse so more call outs…2/3 machines always broke in the usa, huge scam..possibly in court atm, vendor wont allow rival milkshake machines in resturants even if theirs dont work…yay for this bent rainbow world we live in.
Oh dear how sad. Petty they don’t run out of burgers.
Excellent. Should see a minor dip in diabetes and obesity rates.
If it cuts down the traffic chaos outside the Maccy D at Westridge that can only be a good thing for the whole of society.
just means a few less calories for the fat gits who eat them then.hardly headlineworthy is it
Thats not fair, that’s just ruined my Friday night out, will just have to do donuts in car park till 2.00am instead.
I recall when I once visited a nice old fashoned tearoom where they made real milkshakes, the lady who owned the tearoom said a rough family had gone in there and bought milkshakes then complained and demanded their money back as they weren’t “proper” milkshakes “like what McDonalds do” ! Just about sums up the rise of the chavvy lifestyles in our country.
Oh well that will stop the chavs overweight little sh***s from getting any bigger for the time being.
Fast food should be band. Go watch ‘Super Size Me’ documentary.
It’s because of that bloke I can’t buy a super size thickshake. Good program though, it’s just a shame that they take away the choice for the not so overweight crowd. Same with King size Mars bars and Marathons! I’ve still not recovered from that.
OMG …..
You do realise we may need to employ more counsellors…
How will the milkshake addicts cope ????
So Nesquik be quick about it !!!!!!!
No worries ,the chavs can buy more fags instead with their benefit cash.
O Dear How Sad never mind
Never having had a McD milkshake, i wouldn’t know what they are missing.
When and if they start serving them again, i still won’t be trying one.
