Households across the Isle of Wight are being reminded that there will be no changes to waste and recycling collections over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed that rubbish will continue to be collected from the kerbside as normal on Bank Holiday Monday (29th August). There will be no changes to collections later in the week either.
Residents are asked to place their waste or recycling out early as normal by 07:00.
Lynnbottom and Afton Marsh tips will operate as normal, however, Islanders are reminded that the controversial booking system remains in place meaning you have to book your trip to the tip 24 hours in advance. You can check opening times at www.iwight.gov.uk/waste.

For a minute i thought they were going to have to cancel collections because it was raining!
Personally I think the bin men are absolutely wonderful. They do a job that I would never want to do, in all weathers and ours, over in west Wight, are always cheerful and polite. Very grateful for them all.
