Police say they are continuing to investigate a suspected arson attack on a campervan at Lower Hyde Holiday Park in Shanklin last month. It was during the early hours of 19th March that a luxury motorhome was severely damaged by fire whilst parked on the camping and caravaning pitch at the popular holiday park. This week, fire investigation dogs from the mainland have been involved in examining the burnt wreckage as Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the blaze. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that no arrests have yet been made but that enquiries remain ongoing at this time.
