The winner of the Isle of Wight Council’s chairman’s Christmas card competition has been announced.
9-year-old Ozzy Cornes will see his picture of a festive-looking St Catherine’s Oratory, with Santa Claus flying overhead, featured on the Isle of Wight Council chairman’s official Christmas card this year.
Councillor Claire Critchison called on talented pupils at Niton Primary School to come up with their best designs based on a local landmark or theme.
With help from parish councillors and other Isle of Wight councillors, a winner from each year group was chosen alongside an overall winner.
Councillor Critchison said:
“All the entries were brilliant, and the Year 6 entries were extremely hard to judge because of the excellent standard.
“Thank you and well done to all the pupils that produced such wonderful designs.”
