2019 has got off to a rather upsetting start for those enjoying the countryside in Newport as a result of fly tipping in the area.
Earlier today (Tuesday) a large pile of rubbish was discovered by a local resident on Pan Lane, near to Shide.
The items dumped by the roadside – as photographed above – include a hoover, a traffic cone base and a lamp, among other things.
It’s thought the rubbish may have been in-situ for several days.
