Fry Nation on Newport’s High Street is set to open soon, replacing Newport Fish & Chips, which was put up for sale last September.
Newport will soon have a brand new takeaway on the High Street selling chicken, kebabs, pizza, burgers, fish and chips and milkshakes. The shop front has had a makeover and punters will hope that the quality of food matches the shiny new décor.
It will occupy 84-85 High Street between the Revive Community Hub and Day Lewis Pharmacy and will no doubt hope to open in time for the busy Summer season serving tourists and locals alike with their wide range of offerings.
Island Echo looks forward to trying this new establishment and hopefully it will provide a good addition to Newport’s bustling High Street.

Bustling High Street ??
You took the words out of my mouth.. What a laugh!
Bustling with traffic. Busy old road that.
What date Will it open ?
18th November I expect.
Is there mobility scooter access? I likes a takeaway when I leaves The Crispin after 10 pints!
If there’s one thing the island needs, it’s more takeaways.
And coffee shops. And charity shops.
As if we need another junk food outlet i Newport,
Very healthy I’m sure
Hmm kebabs! Local food for local people
Fry Nation! How classy! Greasy gut busting junk for the lardy arses. Needs a government health warning.
I suppose Salad Nation wouldn’t have made a go of it.
