Brading Roman Villa unveiled its new Nature Trail earlier today (Saturday) as part of the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival. The trail takes advantage of the wonderful location around the perimeter of the Roman villa. Visitors and the wider community are now invited to follow the trail and explore the countryside, the local wildlife, wildflowers and grasses. The trail was officially opened on 14th June by Jasmine Wroath, Manager of Brading Roman Villa, Bella Janson (Trustee), Lucy Bell (local artist), Richard Grogan (National Landscape Manger) and Amy Summer (Visit Isle of Wight). On the day they were joined by students from Lanesend Primary School from Cowes. The Nature Trail is one of many examples of how Brading Roman Villa is working innovatively to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve its sustainability goal.
