A new podcast exploring the stories of those living on the Isle of Wight has been launched, thanks to sponsorship from Spence Willard.
The Island Stories Podcast was a dream of Harriet Hadfield’s and by teaming up with producer Alex Warren, along with the sponsorship of Spence Willard, she has turned this dream into a reality.
A real advocate for Island life having grown up on the Isle of Wight and returned back when times got tough, Harriet began to think that each and every one of us had a story.
Harriet says:
“On the podcast we uncover the characters and personalities of those who’ve made the Isle of Wight – home. We talk to amazing Islanders about why they live here, what makes them special and find out their favourite things about this amazing Island of ours!”
There are 8 episodes in the first series, with 1 episode released each Wednesday. The series is currently halfway through having spoken so far to Island legend Derek Sandy, Lisa Henry of Lobster Locations, Dr Hayley Elsmore of The Courtyard Aesthetic Clinic & Rob da Bank of Bestival fame.
Emma Bradley, Head of Marketing at Spence Willard, says:
“We are proud to be sponsoring the Island Stories podcast. Whilst we all appreciate how wonderful the Island itself is, we are still frequently amazed by the many interesting and remarkable people and businesses that are here, or indeed relocating here. There are an increasingly diverse range of people, and as such opportunities on offer, which is important to be shared and celebrated”
The podcast can be listened to on all popular podcast channels – Island Stories — Bio Site.
Rob da Bank of Bestival fame.- that would be the same Rob Da Bank that is being sued for £650k by ticket line for allegedly not paying back the same amount out of a £1m loan they gave him, to keep the bestival going, back in 2018.
trial is ongoing at central london county court.
