A newly licensed indoor dog day care centre has opened its doors in Ventnor, offering pet owners peace of mind with a welfare-led approach to dog care.
Wright Zone Doggy Day Care, founded by Suzanne Wright, provides a calm, structured environment for dogs to relax, socialise, and feel secure while their owners are at work or away for the day.
Suzanne, who has lived with dogs all her life, said the idea for Wright Zone came from a desire to offer something different from traditional dog day care models.
“I wanted to create something that put dogs first in every sense.
“That means small, well-balanced groups, lots of observation, and a calm routine rather than overstimulation.”
The centre is fully licensed and insured, and is run by Suzanne, a Level 3 qualified practitioner. Although Wright Zone is licensed for up to 24 dogs, the service is currently focused on smaller, carefully matched groups to ensure each dog’s individual needs are met.
Before launching the business, Suzanne worked in hospitality management and trained at the Isle of Wight College. She says the combination of professional qualifications and a lifelong passion for dogs has shaped every aspect of the business.
Wright Zone has now begun welcoming its first canine guests, with all dogs going through an assessment process before joining the group. The business is open and taking bookings.
Suzanne added:
“I know how much dogs mean to their families. Wright Zone is about trust, transparency, and creating a space where dogs are genuinely happy to come through the door.”
