There is a new date for the re-location of Sandown Post Office to the SPAR Sandown store.
Originally it was planned for the new branch to open in Albert Road on Wednesday 19th August, however, due to an operational reason the new branch will now have to open a little later than planned on Monday 24 August at 13:00.
The current Sandown Postmaster, Rodney Archer, who is retiring has agreed for his branch at Beachfield Road to remain open for a few extra days to help maintain a service for the Sandown community. The branch will now close on Friday 21st August at 16:00.
Will Russell, Post Office Regional Manager, said:
“We thank the current Postmaster for agreeing to stay on for longer to help maintain Post Office services in the area. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the longer than planned transfer of Sandown Post Office to its new location due to an operational issue. Soon customers will be able to benefit from the seven-day-a-week opening hours and opening hours more than doubling.”
