Marks & Spencer will open its new Foodhall in Cowes next month, it has been confirmed.
The 7,400 sq ft store will on Terminus Road will open on Wednesday 5th August and will offer customers the quality and freshness of M&S food, with more than 4,000 M&S food and drink lines, along with a selection of flowers, cards and gift wrap.
Marks and Spencer previously confirmed interest in taking over the store from The Co-Operative, who in January of this year confirmed they were to close their Cowes supermarket.
Local shoppers can also look forward to a stylish 24-seat Café, which will serve hot and cold dishes, desserts, sandwiches and a large selection of drinks including Fairtrade tea and coffee. A new in-store Bakery will offer a range of speciality breads, delicious pastries and cakes, freshly baked on site each day.
Store Manager, Nathaniel Dunkley, said:
“We are looking forward to bringing a new M&S Foodhall to Cowes, which will provide local shoppers with a fantastic M&S food and drink offer, as well as an in-store Bakery and Café. The M&S team and I are eagerly awaiting 10am on Wednesday 5th August, when we can open our doors and welcome our new customers.”
The store will also provide the popular Food to Order and Shop Your Way services, giving customers the choice of ordering from M&S.com in-store or online, with the added benefit of free next day in-store delivery and collection.
All staff will transfer from The Co-Operative across to the new store.
