MP HOPES NO MORE TIME WILL BE WASTED ON ‘NON-CRIME HATE INCIDENTS’

The Isle of Wight’s MP, Bob Seely, says he hopes no more time will be wasted on non-crime hate incidents, with Police set to focus on catching criminals and improving neighbourhood policing.

Mr Seely recently had a sit down chat with the new Chief Constable for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, Scott Chilton, about the next steps to improve policing on the Island.

It has been revealed that part of the plan will be to update the structure of Policing locally so that different responsibilities such as neighbourhood, response, CID and specialists will be integrated into a single leadership that can meet the Island’s needs better.

CC Chilton’s priorities for the near future include catching criminals, supporting the victims of crime and carrying out neighbourhood policing better – 3 things Bob Seely says he gives his full support to.

Speaking about his recent meeting, Mr Seely has said:

“The new Chief Constable has done away with some daft rules, such as the need for all police to have degrees. It was expensive & unnecessary. As a result, we’ve added the equivalent of 90 extra officers.

“I hope no more time will be wasted on ‘non-crime hate incidents’.

Really, I thought that was the police forces core purpose.

perhaps these officers will be out on the streets, getting rid of the drunken dossers that hang about all day.
maybe we will actually see burglars arrested and jailed.

I do not expect to see officers wasting their time because someone called someone a name or that someone on twitter is so weak that they cannot handle criticism

Ah yes, the famous ‘NON-CRIME’, where you will have a visit from the police because you upset someone online. No crime will be recorded as no crime will have been committed. We’re not talking about homophobic abuse or other true hate crimes like threatening violence. We’re talking about about upsetting someone’s feelings. Gorge Orwell is turning in his grave. The police are there to enforce criminal law not how to be a good citizen. Look at the case of Harry Miller. I do not agree with his views but I support his right to discuss any issues. He received a visit from the police for saying “I was assigned mammal at birth, but my orientation is fish. Don’t mis-species me.”

Yeah, because that kind of thing takes up so much of the time of the police on the Isle of Wight, doesn’t it?

In any case, that is an actual crime on the statute books (Malicious communications Act) If someone abuses you online and you report it to the police they must follow it up by law. So not a “non-crime”.

Seely is gaslighting you.

Again.

so many people sit there thinking “i have been offended by being called a name, I will report this” instead of saying to theirselves “I am strong enough to withstand criticism and the odd insult and anyhow, the police time would be better served chasing pervs and thieves, instead of nursing my hurt feelings because someone misgendered me on twatter.”

Which is completely irrelevant.

Saying nasty things online to upset people is a de-facto crime and the police are required, by law, to investigate.

ahhh ha ha ha ha – if the police only hand out a crime number over the phone for a robbery and don’t bother investigating shoplifting, then what hope does some, whiny wimp that gets called a name have of seeing the nasty individual arrested.

I am actually seriously considering taking up a life of crime as these days, there is very little chance of going to jail and there are so many hand wringing, do gooding apologists around, that I can spin a sob story to, that I wouldn’t even see the inside of a court house.

As soon as the consequences of crime, for the criminal is diminished, crime naturally soars.

You slur the term criminal as if it’s one generalised way of being but sometimes it’s a matter of circumstances that drives one to commit a crime: the irony being not only your slight confession to wanting to “flip” but it is exactly your nature and the way your spouting your hatred of the world which make you a prime candidate for someone to just kill his wife or go on a school shooting spree. Tell me has this anger of yours been festering all these years, if so why? Is it because you hate everyone? Is it the way I talk? No comment on gender debates but I’d wipe the floor with your dinosaur ideology and make you realise your in the 21st century you old dog, move with the times, this ain’t the 70s man

give it a rest sanguinius – your pandering and woke BS is not what the majority of the planet say, think or feel.

it is do gooders, like you, that I can easily prosper over and that is what matters – nature favours the stronger -you can spend your one and only life, pandering to the needs of whiny weaklings if you want to, but I won’t be.

fready – I have spent time in a lot of countries outside of the Uk and the EU – I can honestly say, that if someone was bawling their eyes out to the police because someone called them a name, they would either be laughed out of the police station, or physically kicked out and told to FO.

criminals from those countries know that if they get caught in their own countries, they face being cramed into a small cell with many others, along with cockroaches/rats and barely any food, so they turn up in the UK safe in the knowledge that if they get caught, at worst they will get a nice cell, with a bed, TV, 3 good meals a day and it will be clean and relatively safe in comparison – more likely they wouldn’t get locked up.

Its typical of someone who spends alot of time in other countries to come back and think they know how to run a country. Yes alot of holes in our system but at least it’s somewhat humanitarian. You know how many prisoners died in the 70s riots because guards acted and spoke like you? And alot of those prisoners wouldnt of been in for much more than a bit of theft; regardless of the nature of crimes (subject to definition) should still be treated as humans. Violence invokes violence. I do agree with your strict solitary, id be more inclined to believe in some form of rehabilitation if they had suffered for their crimes.

nah – they did the crime, they do the time- prison is meant to be awful, not a holiday camp –

if those prisoners in the 70’s had been acting like the majority of society then they wouldn’t have been in jail in the first place – no sympathy – not one member of my family in the 70’s committed crimes or went to jail – you know why – they worked hard and provided for their family, in a law abiding manner. I have no sympathy for anyone who commits crimes and cannot handle the jail afterwards.

What the flying f**k is Seely talking about?

“non-crime hate incidents”? What the hell is one of those?

Let’s get something quite clear. Verbally abusing someone based on their race, religion, disability, sex or sexual orientation is a crime. These are outlawed by statute.

So what does our waste-of-space MP consider a “non-crime hate incident”? Verbally abusing someone based on their hair color? I don’t think that’s outlawed.

So no more wasting time on ginger baiters, then.

He’s also blatantly lying. There is no need for “all police to have degrees”. I know this as a young nephew of mine has recently joined. He doesn’t have a degree and there is no requirement for him to get one.

I agree about the degrees (no pun intended), if all police officers had to have degrees there wouldn’t be a police force. Some of them would be hard pressed to write a report. Oops, have I just committed an offence?

What is worrying is whether his throw-away comment is a give away to the next piece of sensible legislation Sue Ellen and Rees Mogg will want to repeal – the Equalities Act 2010. This would then remove the protection currently afforded to those with protected characteristics.

what actually needs to happen is that UK society toughens up, instead of trying to wrap everyone up in cotton wool, which does nothing more than weaken their ability to withstand any emotional impacts. This country has turned into a bunch of weak willed, whiny, pathetic, entitled layabouts, that are more worried about someone calling them names, than they are putting food on their tables.

anyhow, this pathetic weak narrative that most in the UK are eating up, just ensures that those of us that are strong, can prosper even more, as the competition is weak and occupied by stupid gender ID and other woke, do gooding drivel.

Chilton’s obviously forced smile and pained expression says all we need to know about this meeting.

He knows the real reason behind the problems faced by the police, and a representative of the Government responsible for those problems is sat next to him trying to tell him how do do his job.

It is not the Police but the courts who let the Police down by not imposing meaningful sentences to deter and to keep real vile criminals away from decent people.

And WHY can’t the courts jail people for longer? Because our jails are full of non British criminals who arrive daily unchecked and are ruining this country in so very many ways.

SEE the reason for many of the UK’s ills.

One of the biggest problems on the Island is
Anti-social behaviour by uneducated morons
parking on pavements.

Where is the law to Stop such behaviour!

IW Council do not take responsibility for Island pavements
and Bob Seely does not care.

The Island is poorly run.
Mr Khan would make the Island a safe place for all.

Safety is imperative, something the Island does not understand.
