UPDATED: Firefighters are tackling a motorbike fire on the driveway of a home in Binstead this morning (Thursday).
1 appliance from Ryde was mobilised to the scene on Maybrick Road at 07:00.
2 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using a hose reel to extinguish the flames.
UPDATE @ 07:35 – The fire has been successfully extinguished and Ryde’s first away is returning to station.
Island Echo understands the bike was being worked on by its owner yesterday evening, which may have contributed to this morning’s fire. The bike has been destroyed.
No one has been injured in the incident.
