Members of Badger Trust Isle of Wight made the shocking discovery at 17:15 yesterday evening (Friday) off the B3399 between Brook and Chessell.
Photographs released by the Trust show a mixture of tiles, wood, plastic guttering and black bags littered up a byway in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It comes just a week after asbestos tiles were found on a bridleway in Wroxall. The Isle of Wight Council have confirmed that a specialist team will be removing the waste at Wroxall on Monday at a cost to the Island taxpayer of more than £2,000.
The Isle of Wight’s Environmental Health team have been informed about yesterday’s discovery near Shalcombe.
