More than 70 children took part in an Easter egg hunt in East Cowes over the Bank Holiday weekend as the community came together at the Community Spirited Café on Vectis Road. With the help of the wider East Cowes community, the café was able to offer an Easter Egg hunt for free, with eggs donated to the charity. Refreshments – including homemade cakes – were served with a huge Tombola, and the knit-and-natter group made bunny rabbits and baskets with eggs in them, adding to the Easter-themed fun. A total of £435 was raised, in what was the first fundraiser event since the community project received charity status. Jane thanks everyone for attending and helping it to be a great success.
