David Lemonius and Denis Pocock from the Isle of Wight Classic Tractors visited the Friends of St Mary’s Shop earlier this month to present them with an £850 cheque.
The charity was joint beneficiary alongside the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, for the proceeds of their Annual Charity Tractor Road Run which took place on the 27th December 2022.
The 24-mile charity road run saw 75 tractors set off from Hale Manor, near Arreton at 10:30 in the morning and make their way across West Wight to Compton Farm.
Crowds turned out to cheer the procession on and raise money for the chosen charities.
A spokesperson from the Friends of St Mary’s Hospital said:
“Thank you to everyone who took part and to everyone for their support; it sounds like it was a great success.
“Having support from charity events like this means a lot as we are able to continue to support the services offered by the Islands NHS”.
