A car has left the carriageway and ploughed through a hedge at Whippingham tonight (Saturday).
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene and are tending to the female driver of the Ford Fiesta, who has sustained minor injuries.
The single vehicle collision occurred at just before 19:55 with concerned members of the public stopping to provide assistance prior to the arrival of emergency services.
Police are also in attendance.
The main road in and out of East Cowes remains open in both directions.
The car, which is around 20-30ft in a field, is not expected to be recovered tonight.

Another bad driver! I Always see people speeding along there, dont see the need of it, your get to your destination eventually…
Mobile or putting make up on take your choice
Ragging it more likely…
These hedges must stop jumping out on people
Quite right. I was once set upon by a roadside tree – made a right mess of the radiator, but when challenged, it just stood there and ignored me.
The lesson to be learned is so simple. You ladies must put your lippy on before you set off.
