A trio of men arrested as part of an attempted child abduction incident back in April, are to face no further action. As previously reported by Island Echo, it was reported to Police back on the 29th April that a van – with 3 men inside – stopped on Westminster Lane. There, it was reported that 1 of the men allegedly approached a pair of 6-year-old girls before exchanging a short conversation, unknown in its nature. Thankfully, the 6-year-old youngsters were not physically harmed and were able to run away back to their homes, with the matter being reported to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary a short time later. At the time of the offense and after some investigating, a 33-year-old man, a 39-year-old man and a 46-year-old, all from the Isle of Wight, were arrested on suspicion of attempting to take a child so as to remove them from a person having lawful control. They were bailed until today (Thursday). Now, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have said that all 3 men have since been released with no further action.

And the reason was ???
What!? All sounds vague and wishywashy to me? Did they try to abduct them or not? Why were they talking to young children anyway? Bailed?’!!
a 33-year-old man, a 39-year-old man and a 46-year-old, all from the Isle of Wight,
Bet they turned up on the island a while ago and are now living here and as such, are classed as “from the isle of wight” – really and truthfully, almost guaranteed they come from somewhere else originally.
filth need eliminating.
Name and shame the scum bags everyone getting ready for a big backlash against the police
There’s obviously more to this than is being reported.
The clue is probably in the phrase: ‘to remove them from a person having lawful control.’
Maybe, if the full fact were released, it would stop speculation?
is it really that much to ask for a bit clarity? it stops all the social media speculation which can quite quickly escalate
Yes, need transparency. Don’t need to release names. I am guessing a dad that has been denied access to their kid. But as you say, that is speculation which is bad. That leads to people jumping to the “they are Muslim” conspiracy.
no it doesn’t, only people that think a certain way will jump to that conclusion
Only idiots an woke ppl like you!! Wake up silly stuart
Brilliant, just BRILLIANT
