A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and other offences after Police received reports of erratic driving in Cowes before locating a stationary car on the dual carriageway.
Police were called at 13:06 following concerns for the welfare of a man who had been seen driving in an erratic manner in Cowes.
A short time later, officers located a stationary car on the dual carriageway in Newport.
Based on their interaction with the driver and information obtained at the scene, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, possession of cannabis and drug driving.
The man was initially taken to hospital before being transported to police custody, where he remains while enquiries continue.
