Police and Coastguard teams responded to Culver Down earlier this morning (Tuesday) where a man was located near the cliff edge.
Concerns for the welfare of a 57-year-old man in the Ryde area were raised at 08:46.
It wasn’t long before the male was located at Culver Down near to the cliff edge overlooking Sandown Bay.
HM Coastguard were alerted to the situation and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Ventnor and The Needles were mobilised to assist Police.
Thankfully, the incident has since been successfully resolved and emergency teams have stood down.
Vehicular access to Culver Down was closed for a time.
