Police are renewing an appeal for information following the death of an 80-year-old Shanklin man, who has passed away in hospital following a serious collision in Arreton earlier this week.
As previously reported by Island Echo, at about 14:15 on Wednesday (20th August), there was a collision on the A3056 between Arreton and Horringford involving a Skoda Kamiq and a Citroen C3.
The driver of the Citroen – named by Police as Shanklin man Bryan Welford – sustained serious injuries and has now sadly passed away in hospital.
The 2 occupants of the Skoda received minor injuries.
A Police spokesperson has said:
“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, including anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
