A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following an incident involving a knife at a property in Brading last night (Sunday).
Police were called to a residential address on Lower Furlongs at just gone 21:10 following reports of an assault.
Officers arrived on scene to find a woman with injuries to her hand.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called to tend to the casualty with 1 ambulance crew dispatched. The woman’s injuries are said to be minor.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody at Newport Police Station, where he remains for questioning this morning.

The newspaper talks shit, he didnt attack her, the lad disarmed the female as she attacked him and she cut her finger in the process, the lad was released with an NFA as the neighbours confirmed the truth!! So the echo needs to get its facts straight before it publishes a story!!!!
