A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following an incident involving a knife at a property in Brading last night (Sunday).
Police were called to a residential address on Lower Furlongs at just gone 21:10 following reports of an assault.
Officers arrived on scene to find a woman with injuries to her hand.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called to tend to the casualty with 1 ambulance crew dispatched. The woman’s injuries are said to be minor.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody at Newport Police Station, where he remains for questioning this morning.
