A man has been airlifted from Brading to a mainland hospital by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance this afternoon (Friday).
The life-saving helicopter landed at Brading recreation ground at 14:45 following a request for assistance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The patient – thought to be suffering from cardiac problems – has been flown to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. The helicopter took off from the scene just 30 minutes after landing.
