Islander Sue Edwards has been awarded ‘Celebrant of the Year’ for the South of England in the prestigious National Celebrant Awards 2022-2023.
Sue – who owns and runs Wight Celebrants – was last week handed her national award by James Convery, CEO of the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants.
Sue’s business conducts personalised wedding, naming and funeral ceremonies.
Speaking about her win, Sue has said:
“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate & vote for me back in December. I am totally blown away & truly humbled.
“I just do what i do with the only thought that any ceremony that I have the privilege & honour of conducting, is a fitting & personal farewell or a true celebration of love.
“So from the bottom of my heart I just wanted to say Thank you”.
