LOCAL BANDS COMING TOGETHER FOR BENJI AND BALU

10 local bands will be coming together this Sunday (1st September) to raise money for Benji and Balu, 2 bears that are being rescued by the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. Bands for Bears Festival will be taking place at Quay Arts in Newport, from midday to 22:00 and will feature the likes of Average Height Band, Bittersweet, Greg Branes, Audio Ghosts, The lemon Thieves, Island Vibe, Feck, Georgia Nichole and more. All monies raised will go to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown, which is building a new 3,500sqm habitat, complete with pools, streams, caves, boulders, platforms, woodland and all the bear necessities, for the 2 now-loved brown bears from Azerbaijan. Entry is free and there is also a raffle with plenty of prizes donated by generous local businesses. This promises to be a good afternoon of free family entertainment for a great cause.
