Local artists Malcolm Winter and Chris Gillies joined forces once again for this year’s version of their ever popular ‘Coast’ exhibitions.
Held at Regatta House in Cowes, Coast 5 hosted a collection of both artists’ works.
Although each artist has their very own distinctive style their interpretation of coastal views really complement each other and made for a delightful exhibition in this appropriate venue at Cowes which is the home of Cowes Combined Clubs and the hub for Lendy Cowes Week.
At the preview evening, the ‘sold’ Red Spot was soon to appear on works including a Chris Gillies painting of East Leap Buoy.
As well as the favourite Island scenes that these artists usually depict there was a new and more colourful work by Chris Gillies featuring a view from Cowes at sunrise whilst Malcolm Winter’s work included large seascapes.
Both artists plan to have their work on display soon at this year’s Open Studios event between 13th-23rd July at venues Island-wide.
