A 40ft yacht that run aground off Egypt Point this afternoon (Saturday) has been assisted into Cowes Harbour by Cowes RNLI Lifeboat.
The volunteer RNLI crew were tasked to launch their Atlantic 85 Lifeboat shortly before 16:45 after the casualty vessel went hard aground on rocks just off the Esplanade between Cowes and Gurnard.
The yacht has since been refloated and has been escorted into Cowes by the Lifeboat.
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked to the incident.
