Now is the last chance to vote for Ventnor Paddling Pool in the 2024 Seaside Heritage Network’s Bucket and Spade List, with voting set to close tomorrow (Saturday). The famous Ventnor Paddling Pool is a favourite with locals and visitors alike, a welcome dip of the feet in the shallow waters while walking around a miniature version of the Isle of Wight is a holiday must for many. Now it is one of 20 seaside experiences vying for the title of the Seaside Heritage Network Bucket and Spade List 2024 – and there are just a few weeks left to vote! The inaugural Seaside Heritage Network Buck and Spade List crowned 10 winners, including Blackpool Tower, donkey rides at Weymouth, Papa’s Fish & Chips at Cleethorpes, with the Saltburn Cliff Tramway at Saltburn-by-the-Sea crowned overall winner. It is now down to a public vote for the 2024 list, which sees Ventnor Paddling Pool fighting it out with heavy hitters such as Blackpool rock and the Grand Hotel at Scarborough, alongside the Punch and Judy booth at Swanage and saucy seaside postcards. Will Myles, MD at Visit Isle of Wight said:
“I hope all Islanders will get behind this campaign – let’s bring this award to where it rightly belongs – the Isle of Wight!”
Voting closes on Saturday 31st August.
